On 28th of August 2012 the Infrastructure Managers of Baltic-Adriatic Rail Freight Corridor 5 i.e. PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. (PL), Správa železniční dopravní cesty (CZ), Železnice Slovenskej Republiky (SK), ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG (AT), Slovenske železnice-Infrastructura, d.o.o. (SI), Javna agencija za železniški promet Republike Slovenije (SI) and the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (IT) signed an Agreement at the highest management level by which the Management Board as the decision-making body was formally established.The MB meets on regular basis, at least four times a year, alternately in every corridor country. The meetings are chaired by the Chairperson.
As a consequence of Amendment of Railway Transport Act of Republic of Slovenia, since 01 of January 2016 Javna agencija za železniški promet Republike Slovenije resigns his membership in RFC5. All Slovenian activities related to the RFC5 are fully allocated to Slovenske železnice-Infrastruktura, d.o.o.
